Pre-Need Planning
No one likes to think about death. Discussing your own death with loved ones is a very emotional and uncomfortable topic. Yet death is a fact of life that cannot be ignored. Like birth, it is the one constant that humans share. If you have ever had to plan the funeral of a loved one, you know the complex decisions that need to be made.
Pre-Need Planning - or as it is often called, Pre-Planning - is a process by which you provide your chosen funeral home with information regarding your funeral choices, today. By pre-planning, you relieve your loved ones of making important emotional and financial decisions during a period of extreme grief and stress. Pre-planning eliminates the burden of guessing your desires. It provides peace of mind for you and your family. Decisions are made with the comfort of knowing that choices have been made that were carefully thought out over a period of time.
The average funeral arrangement conference, where no pre-planning has taken place, frequently takes more than two hours to complete! During that time your survivors will be asked a myriad of questions needed to process the death certificate, to arrange service details, to select a casket and burial vault (if traditional burial is chosen) or urn (if cremation is chosen). With pre-planning, you will have accomplished the majority of this process for them.
The Griffith family and the staff firmly believe that Pre-Need Planning is a wise and thoughtful process. Such is our belief in its benefits that we will honor pre-Need contracts written by other funeral homes. We will handle all aspects of transferring your contract to us without any loss of benefits.
Pre-Funding through Griffith-Cline
The decision is yours regarding whether or not you would like to pre-fund your funeral. Pre-funding guarantees that the cost of your funeral will never increase. Your funds are placed in a trust account. For those who wish to pay over time, payment plans are available up to five years. Pre-funding provides peace-of-mind for you and your loved ones. Knowing that the financial details of your funeral have been attended to allows you to enjoy life, knowing that your desires are known and that your survivors will not be unduly burdened with funeral expenses.
Our pre-funded plans are administered through Funeral Services, Inc. which holds your funds in trust (according to the laws of the State of Florida) until such time as they are required to fulfill your contract. Our pre-funded plans are fully refundable of all funds paid by the purchaser (except in cases where law prohibits such refunding as in when an Irrevocable Agreement has been created by the purchaser). No interest is charged for contracts paid over time.
We have Funeral Services, Incorporated (FSI) to administer our pre-need contracts because of their proven record of stability. Founded in 1967, FSI has been providing Pre-Need Trusting Services since 1978. They have nearly $200 million in trust and over 85,000 Pre-Need contacts written.
