Bettie Anne (Whaley) BilodeauApril 27, 1940 ~ September 1, 2017 (age 77)
Bettie Anne Bilodeau, 77, of Myakka City, FL, went on to Glory September 1, 2017 in her home in her loving husbands arms. Born April 27th, 1940 in Little Rock, AR, Bettie was raised in Trenton, MI; lived many years in the Appalachia mountains of North Carolina; and settled in Ellenton, FL in 2003 where she made many friends. Bettie was a beautician and landscaper by trade. She worked at Welcraft of Bradenton in the early 80's. She enjoyed baking, sewing, decorating and crafting. The highlight of every year was to enter her beloved pieces in the Manatee County Fair. Bettie will be remembered for her beautiful outgoing smile, thought for others, flower gardens, and her true love for her family and friends.
She is survived by her devoted, loyal and faithful loving husband David P. Bilodeau; son, Charles Duane Edwards of Bradenton and Susan Edwards, (daughter-in-law); daughters, Stephanie A. Roberts of Blowing Rock, NC, Elizabeth Rice Edwards of Bradenton, FL and Nicole Ruth Blizzard and Dennis Jay Blizzard (son-in-law) of Myakka City, FL; ten grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and sisters, Barbara J. Gorno of Trenton, MI and Margaret J. Peddle of Lilburn, GA.
The family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service at 2:00 p.m. on Friday September 8, 2017, at Bethany Baptist Church, 26604 State Road 64 E, Myakka City, FL 34251.
