Marilyn Bloomquist, age 80, went to be with her loving husband of fifty-six years on January 30, 2018.
She was born on December 3, 1937 in Kankakee, IL, to the late Dorothy Riely Reising and Earl James Reising. She lived in Momence, IL for many years where she and her husband raised their four children.
She signed a contract with MGM studios for acting and modeling at the age of five and she was a drum majorette as early as age three. She lived in Hollywood with her mother for a year and starred in many commercials for products like 7-up and Quaker Oats. She enjoyed cooking and teaching her daughters and granddaughters how to cook.
She and her husband retired to Bradenton, FL over thirty years ago where they enjoyed the southern climate and the lack of snow in Florida.
She is predeceased by her loving husband Clyde Arthur Bloomquist Jr. and her brother Carl Reising and is survived by her brother Robert Reising of Illinois; her daughter Diane Burroughs (Robert), of Bradenton; her son Brian Bloomquist (Debbie), of Kentucky; her daughter Mary Fragakis (Michael), of Illinois; her son David Bloomquist; and her grandchildren Jennifer (Michael), Ian, Jill, Haley, Ryan, Cody, Trevor; and her great-granddaughters Emma, Leah and Katie; also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Marilyn requested that her family hold a private celebration of her life after her passing.
