Rose Aiena (Rose DiBetitto), age 73, passed away at her home in Bradenton, Florida on October 20, 2017 surrounded by her loving husband Stephen, daughter Christine, and her son Stephen after a long struggle with cancer.
Rose was born on October 30, 1943 to Frank and Elizabeth DiBetitto in Brooklyn, New York. She was the beloved sister to Betty, Danny and Eileen.
Rose married Stephen Aiena on October 17, 1970 and they spent 47 years together enjoying family gatherings, spending time with their four grandchildren (Adrianna, Alyssa, Nicholas and Giuliana), vacationing, watching NASCAR, and socializing with their many friends at car shows and other Motorsport events.
Rose had countless hobbies which included sewing, painting ceramics, making jewelry, embroidery, knitting and creating an endless array of other spectacular crafts. We will all treasure the handmade heirlooms that she had created for us.
Rose was a member of The Red Hatter Society with whom she continuously made new friends to shop with, see movies, attend luncheons, and she enriched the lives of others by volunteering in the community. Rose was well known for her attention-getting fashions and accessories and always making others smile and laugh.
Rose was also an excellent cook who proudly carried on the Italian family recipes of her grandmother, mother and aunts.
Rose is survived by her husband Stephen, daughter Christine, son-in-law Robert, son Stephen, daughter-in-law Jenifer, her four beautiful grandchildren Adrianna, Alyssa, Nicholas and Giuliana, and many other family members and close friends.
