GENERAL PRICE LIST

These prices are effective February 12, 2020

but are subject to change without notice

The goods and services shown in this General Price List are those we can provide to our customers. You may choose only the items you desire. If legal or other requirements mean you must buy any items you did not specifically ask for, we will explain the reason in writing on the statement we provide describing the funeral goods and services you selected. Unless legal or other requirements mean you must buy any items not specifically asked for, you will be charged only for those items you select. There may be extra charges for other items, such as cemetery fees and flowers. All of our prices are itemized.

Every attempt has been made to present this General Price List in a format that families will understand. The step-by-step process allows families to pick those services they desire as all fees are itemized. In addition, several Minimal Service Packages are available in Category A - Section 8 below.

CATEGORY A - SECTION 1
ARRANGEMENTS TO OBTAIN INFORMATION

In-person Arrangements to Obtain Necessary Permits and Records
  Coordinating with person or person authorized to make final arrangements.  -  In-person consultation with a
  licensed funeral director to gather information needed to obtain permits and records  -  Recording vital statistics -
  Submitting information to State of Florida and other governmental agencies  -  Obituary preparation for one local

PREPARATION/SHELTERING

Embalming

Except in certain special cases,embalming is not required by law. Embalming may be necessary, however, if you select certain funeral arrangements, such as a funeral with viewing. If you do not want embalming, you usually have the right to choose an arrangement that does not require you to pay for it, such as direct cremation or immediate burial. It is our funeral home’s policy to require embalming if the body is to be present at any rites or ceremonies.

Refrigeration
Florida Funeral Law Chapter 497.386(2) requires refrigeration in lieu of embalming commencing 24hours after death.  If embalming is not selected, refrigeration will be required as specified as follow.

Direct Cremation via Internet Arrangements to Obtain Information

  This charge includes transfer of the deceased to this funeral home - gathering information via the internet -
  refrigeration - cremation fee (on-site crematory),  - preparation of free death notice in one local newspaper -
  cremated remains returned in a temporary cardboard container. It does not include courier personnel - ordering or
  procuring death certificates.

  If you want to arrange a direct cremation, you can use an alternative container. Alternative containers encase the
  body and can be made of materials like fiberboard or composition materials (with or without an outside
  covering.)The containers we provide are heavy duty cardboard.

  our hearse. It does not include any merchandise including a casket or shipping container, viewing, funeral rites or
  ceremony or the coordination of such ceremonies.  Nor does it include the charges of a common carrier.

PAYMENT OPTIONS

A. Payment in full by cash, check, or credit card (we accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover) for Categories A, B and C of the Statement
    of Funeral Goods and Services Selected is anticipated upon completion of the arrangement conference. All estimate third party expenses as reflected in
    Category D are to be handled with a personal check, bank check, or cash. For ease, options may be coupled together as well.

B. We will accept pre-arranged funeral insurance and pre-arranged trusts written through other funeral firms that are assignable to Griffith-Cline Funeral and
    Cremation Services. If after a review of the policy/s it is determined that it will not cover the total due, you may be required to pay the balance via
    Option A, above.

C. We will honor a personal insurance policy that is in force and assignable to Griffith-Cline Funeral and Cremation Services. We use a third-party firm to
    coordinate payment. There is a charge levied by this firm of 5% of the total of the total of the funeral bill ($185 minimum) in order to process the
    assignment.

PLEASE NOTE: In order for us to accept payments contingent on the proceeds of a life insurance policy that is not assignable to Griffith-Cline Funeral and Cremation Services, a fee of $500 to coordinate the process between the family and the insurance company and must be paid at the conclusion of the arrangement conference.

If there are special circumstances that exist, we encourage you to speak openly about these issues and/or any financial hardship you are experiencing. We take pride in providing unxompromised service to each family who calls on us, including those with financial concerns. If needed, we can make suggestions to keep your costs within your personal budget. We are here to provide each family with superior service, regardless of the services and merchandise you have selected and most of all - we are here to help.
