Angela Maria (Anelli) Bellisario was born January 21, 1926. From a young age, she loved to dance and sing. One could always find her humming her favorite tune or dancing around the house. She had a love of gardening and could turn anything brown green again. Angela married Joseph Bellisario on August 2, 1946 and enjoyed 54 years of marriage as they raised their three children, Paul, Anna and John. She and her family immigrated to America from Mola Di Bari, Italy in the late 1950s where they made a life for themselves in Chicago, Illinois. Along with her love of music, she enjoyed baking Italian cookies. She was an accomplished seamstress and made much of her own clothing. She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren dearly. Her surviving family members include Paul and Eva Bellisario, Herb and Anna Petryniec, John and Patricia Bellisario, and her grandchildren Shirley, Karen, Angelica, Giorgiana, Joseph, and Anthony, and her great -grandchildren, Morgan, Samantha, Ryan, Lidiana, Edward, and Joseph. In her later years, she could be found dancing with her friends at Inspired Living, and planting just about anything that would grow in her garden. Even as her memory slipped, she could still remember the words to her favorite Italian songs. Angela was an exuberant woman whose smile was contagious and exuded life everywhere she went. She was greatly loved, and she will be greatly missed.
