Barbara Dufresne Crowley, 85, passed gently in her sleep at 9:15 am, October 1st, at her home in Bradenton.
Barbara (Barbie) was full of fun and laughter and loved to read and dance.
Her husband of 28 years, William P. Crowley, Sr., predeceased her in July 1996.
Barbara is survived by her sons, Michael (Connie) Hicks and Robert (Linda) Hicks, as well as two stepdaughters, Mary-Lee Crowley Whelchel and Bonnie Crowley Cutter, as well as one daughter-in-law, Kathy Crowley.
She was survived by seven grandchildren, Ian Hicks, De Ett Hicks Baily, Dalton Hicks, Colin Hicks, Kera Hawks, Jason (Mona) Crowley and Jennifer (Kevin) Eichert. There are nine great-grandchildren.
Barbara and her long-time partner, Fernando Lopez, used to walk six miles per day until her stroke three years ago. They loved to travel and cruise and dance and spend time at the beach.
Barbie was much loved by family and friends and she will be missed dearly.
