She and John were married in New Hampshire on April 15, 1961. After NH they were moved to Laredo, Texas by the General Electric Company. Both Jayne and Jeffry were born in Laredo. From Texas, GE sent them to Huntsville, Alabama in 1964 where they remained together up to John’s passing in 2001.
They were both very active with camping, scouting, and gardening and were always going on another adventure with various organizations. They were both involved with the General Electric Pensioners Group and did a lot of traveling with them as well. June was an avid UAH hockey team supporter. She was also a member of a local ladies quilting club for many years becoming lifelong friends. June and John were extremely proud Americans and were not afraid to show it.
In 2005 it became apparent June needed more help with all the daily upkeep of her home in Huntsville, so Jayne and Bobby came up to aid her in selling the house and making preparations for moving permanently to Florida where she remained till her death.
