Born August 26, 1924 and died August 5, 2019. She was the daughter of John M. Stiltner and Melissa V. Coleman from Grundy, Virginia. She had seven brothers and sisters, Algie Stiltner – Deceased, Faye Deel – Deceased, Mae Barr, Andrew Stiltner – Deceased, Pleas Stiltner, John Stiltner – Deceased, and Sam Stiltner. Nancie has one son William (Rusty) Stiltner and his Partner Sherrie Bugg. She also is survived by two grandchildren, Jason Stiltner and Meghan Stiltner (Womack), that both reside in Tennessee, along with two stepgrandchildren, Cortney Bugg and Lauren Adams. She also has three great-grandchildren, Lillian and Jonah Stiltner and Jocelyn Adams that shared the same birthdate as hers. Nancie also acquired two adopted grandchildren, Brandon and Derek Silverman. Her smiles and cheerful attitude will be missed by her family and everyone else that knew her. Nancie served in the Army in WWII as a Military Policeman and was honorable discharged after the war. She was a Lifetime Member of Kirby Stewart American Legion Post 24. She moved from Grundy, Virginia to Anna Maria Island in 1956. Nancie managed the Richardson Furniture store on the gulf end of Bridge Street until the building was damaged in a storm. She was employed on the island at Pete Reynard’s and Trader Jack’s restaurants. She later moved to Bradenton to assist healthcare on some friends. Graveside committal services will be held at 1 PM on Monday, August 12, 2019 at Sarasota National Cemetery. Military honors will be accorded by the honors team of Kirby Stewart American Legion Post 24.
