Stephen A. Smith, 71, of Bradenton, Florida passed away on March 1, 2019 due to complications of open-heart surgery. He was born on December 5, 1947 in Deerfield, Massachusetts. As a child he moved to Waterboro, Maine where he grew up. He started a business with life-long friend Phil Woodward in Waterboro. They operated the business Smith and Woodward Body Shop together until 1986 at which point Stephen and his family decided to retire to Florida. He continued to work part time for his friend Kevin of Capital Construction. Stephen was the type of guy to help anyone and he had the ability to repair anything, a true jack of all trades.
Stephen was predeceased by his two sons Richy Smith and Chuck Smith. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Sandra Smith of Bradenton. His brother David Smith and wife Janet Smith of Springvale, Maine. His daughter Pasty Pannarale ofBradenton. His four grandchildren Taylor and Caleb Smith of Bradenton, and Ashley Pannarale of Palmetto and Aaron Pannarale of Parrish. His two great-grandchildren Blaise Smith of Bradenton and Dominic Rivera of Palmetto. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.
