Dewette Varnadore, 91, of Bradenton, FL went to be with his Lord Jesus Christ on December 6, 2020. He was predeceased by his wife Dorothy McCroan Varnadore, parents, Lester and Kizzie (Rentz) Varnadore, sisters; Nora Belle Grinner, Carrie Lee Lewis and Marian Varnadore, brothers; L.W., Leonard, Lee Roy and James Carol Varnadore.
He is survived by his sisters; Martha (Gerald Groover), Edith Colton and Ethel (Riley Winans) and brother Robert Varnadore and by his loving daughters, Delores Williams and Cynthia (Buddy) Albritton, and also granddaughters Erin (Tony) Lutze, Charlene Albritton ( Randy Hall), great grandson Austin and great granddaughter Raven.
When Dewette started his career, he cut Gladiolus in Cortez for Manatee Fruit Company. He later worked at a Texaco Station in Palmetto. Moving ahead he worked for Cox Chevrolet in the body shop for a number of years. When he left there he went to Conley Buick to manage their body shop. Just before he retired he worked in Palmetto for Raymond Varnadore at Varnadore Tires.
He was blessed to have a second family of brothers and sisters in Christ at Grace Baptist Church on 26th in Bradenton, where he was a member for over 50 years.
In his spare time, he enjoyed working on cars at his home. He also enjoyed gardening . He also enjoyed taking trips, especially to the North Georgia mountains.
The family invites friends and relatives to attend a period of visitation on Thursday evening December 10, 2020 from 7 - 8 PM at Griffith-Cline Funeral Home, 720 Manatee Avenue West, Bradenton.
