James Edward Hancock, loving husband, father and grandfather, passed away at the age of 77 on August 13, 2020. He was born in Beckley, West Virginia to John Franklin and Loretta Anna Hancock (nee Brezack). He spent over 30 years in retail management, living in over 20 locations in the southeast, enabling him and his family to experience many different locations and meet many wonderful people. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Elaine Estelle Hancock (nee Ritchie); daughter Kari (Danny) Brown of Parrish, Florida; daughter Kelly Hancock of Fairfax Station, Virginia; grandsons Thomas Moxley, James Moxley and Philip Moxley all of Fairfax Station, Virginia; brother Robert (Debbie) Hancock of Franklin, Tennessee; brother Ronald (Heather) Hancock of Hartwell, Georgia; and several cousins, nieces and nephews. He loved the outdoors, fishing and working in the yard. He was always the entertainer at family gatherings and was loved by children. He is greatly missed here on earth, but we know he is at peace now with Jesus.
